Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Sr. Analyst to lead financial analysis and underwriting for PBM pricing strategies. You will influence pricing deployment for the CVS Health Enterprise, collaborating with Aetna leadership and internal teams to optimize profitability and client value.

You will work with Caremark and Aetna Finance on margin budgeting, leverage pricing tools, and analyze regulatory changes to ensure accurate, timely implementation across segments.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a health plan actuarial role, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role, or comparable experience.
• Experience with pricing strategies and financial analysis for PBM or health plans.
• Knowledge of Caremark underwriting models and EOS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and develop recommendations to maximize client value while retaining margin in PBM and Enterprise.
• Develop pricing recommendations for multiple lines of business based on in-depth competitive analysis.
• Assist Aetna’s Underwriting leadership to develop pricing for downstream pricing with segment-specific data.
• Complete tasks in Caremark Underwriting models.
• Modify FAFs appropriately.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support internal and client requests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Sales, Account Management, Caremark, and Aetna Finance partners.
• Create and update Pricing Commitment Documents reflecting Caremark terms for each business segment.
• Advise Caremark Legal during contract negotiations.
• Analyze regulatory changes and advise on implementation scenarios.
