Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Sr. Analyst to lead financial analysis and underwriting for PBM pricing strategies and enterprise profitability.

You will work with Caremark, CVS Health Finance, and Aetna teams to develop segment-specific pricing, analyze outcomes, and implement pricing changes. The role emphasizes deep analytical work, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to communicate complex findings with supporting data and methodology.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a health plan actuarial role, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role, or comparable industry experience.
• Experience with PBM pricing strategies or enterprise pricing is preferred.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and develop recommendations to maximize client value while retaining margin first in the PBM and second in the Enterprise.
• Develop pricing recommendations for multiple lines of business based on in-depth competitive analysis.
• Assist Aetna’s Underwriting leadership to develop pricing for downstream pricing by providing segment-specific data.
• Complete tasks in the Caremark Underwriting models.
• Modify FAFs and support data-driven pricing implementations.
• Ad hoc analyses to support internal and client requests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Sales, Account Management, and Finance partners.
• Create and update Pricing Commitment Documents reflecting Caremark pricing and terms.
• Advise Caremark Legal during contract negotiations as the underwriting expert.
