Job summary

CVS Health Meritain Health is seeking an Underwriting Manager to lead a team of underwriters and drive pricing consistency across our client base. You will mentor staff, oversee workflow, and ensure timely, accurate deliverables in a fast-paced benefits environment.

The role requires strong analytical skills, a track record in underwriting leadership, and the ability to partner with Sales, Client Management, and operations to optimize stop loss strategy and financial projections.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting, financial analysis, pricing methodologies and funding arrangements.
• 2+ years of medical insurance experience with brokers, carriers or TPA environments.
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of underwriters, with daily coaching and performance reviews.
• Assist in underwriting analysis, risk assessment, and pricing for new/renewal business.
• Prepare quotes, questionnaires and financial projections for varying complexity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sales and client management.
