Job summary

AIG is seeking a senior underwriting leader to guide a regional team in Commercial Property E&S. You will underwrite a broad range of property risks and drive portfolio profitability while mentoring direct reports and coordinating with partners across Lexington and AIG.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering value through strong risk assessment and market insight.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Commercial Property E&S underwriting experience.
• Ability to underwrite property risks across E&S and lead a team.
• Capable of underwriting 100%, primary/shared and layered/excess structures.
• Strong market awareness and quick decision making.
• Proven leadership in coaching and mentoring direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a regional team of underwriters.
• Underwrite risks and profitably grow the E&S portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal teams and wholesale partners.
• Review manuscript wording and coverages.
• Develop and execute P&L strategy and share best practices.
• Engage in strategic projects beyond daily underwriting
• Coordinate with Lexington leadership to build a strong national team
