Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• 7-10 years of commercial underwriting, underwriting compliance, quality assurance, auditing, or related experience.
• 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Experience conducting underwriting file reviews and compliance assessments.
• Experience presenting results to senior leadership and managing corrective action initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Company's underwriting audit program.
• Develop annual audit plans, priorities, and audit methodologies.
• Ensure audits are performed in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
• Manage workload distribution and quality control for audit personnel.
• Monitor departmental productivity, audit completion rates, and reporting timelines.
• Evaluate underwriting files for compliance with guidelines, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
• Identify risks through analysis of audit findings and promote consistent audit scoring and reporting.
• Develop executive reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Track remediation efforts and verify corrective actions have been completed.
• Lead projects to improve underwriting quality and consistency.
• Identify training opportunities based on audit results and work with Training to develop materials.
• Mentor audit staff and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.
