Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Executive Underwriting Priorities, to provide analytical and operational support to Caremark Underwriting leadership. You will research, validate, and synthesize information to resolve time-sensitive questions, identify drivers of pricing changes, and coordinate across stakeholders for data sources and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, finance, underwriting, actuarial, forecasting, or related quantitative discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and structured modeling (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ad hoc requests by gathering facts, performing targeted analyses, and producing clear readouts for leadership and partners.
• Diagnose changes in pricing and forecasting results, identifying key drivers and data shifts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, data teams, and finance to obtain clarifications and data sources.
• Build and maintain auxiliary analyses (in Excel) to validate assumptions and quantify impacts for decision making.
• Extract and validate inputs/outputs from structured datasets using relational data concepts and SQL.
• Maintain organized notes and reference materials to reduce rework and ensure clear follow-up.
• Prepare meeting briefs outlining changes, rationale, and required decisions; represent leadership in lower-priority meetings when needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline recurring requests, improve outputs, and enhance analysis reliability.
