Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Executive Underwriting Priorities to support Caremark Underwriting leadership. You will research, validate, and synthesize information to resolve time-sensitive questions and enable informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires analytical rigor, Excel mastery, and SQL proficiency to work with large datasets, identify drivers, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders for answers and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant professional analytics experience in analytics, finance, underwriting, actuarial, forecasting, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and structured modeling (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS), pivot tables, and reconciliation techniques.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ad hoc requests by gathering facts, performing analyses, and producing readouts for leadership and partners.
• Explain changes in results in pricing and forecasting tools/models; identify drivers and data shifts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain answers, trace data lineage, and interpret results correctly.
• Build and maintain Excel-based analyses to validate assumptions and support decisions.
• Work with structured datasets and perform data extraction/validation using SQL.
