Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Sr. Analyst to advance financial analysis and pricing strategies within the PBM and enterprise teams. You will support pricing for multiple lines of business and provide data-driven insights to leadership.

You will work cross-functionally with Caremark, Aetna, Sales, and Finance to optimize profitability, manage pricing models, and drive implementation of pricing decisions under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a health plan actuarial role, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role, or comparable industry experience.
• Actuarial certifications are a plus and can strengthen candidacy.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills; degree in math/finance/stats/actuarial science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and develop recommendations to maximize client value while retaining margin first in PBM and second in Enterprise.
• Develop pricing recommendations for multiple lines of business based on in-depth competitive analysis.
• Assist Aetna’s Underwriting leadership to develop pricing for downstream pricing with segment-specific data.
• Complete tasks in Caremark Underwriting models and modify FAFs as required.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Sales and Account Management and with Caremark and Aetna Finance partners to support margin budgeting.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, statistics, actuarial science or related field
