Job summary

Renaissance Holding seeks a Sr. Underwriter in a fully remote role serving our Indianapolis-based enterprise. You will evaluate risk across dental, vision, life, and disability lines, develop and approve rates, and manage complex renewals and proposals end-to-end.

You will lead underwriting projects, provide technical guidance to sales staff, mentor junior underwriters, and help shape underwriting strategy and process improvements in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field and 5+ years of underwriting experience for groups up to 999 lives.
• Experience underwriting dental, vision, life, and disability lines preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and communication abilities.
• Ability to mentor other underwriters and lead programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk and develop rates using approved rating formulas.
• Lead underwriting lifecycle for complex cases including proposals and renewals.
• Provide technical guidance to sales staff and managers.
• Mentor underwriting team members and manage projects.
• Communicate with agents, brokers, and clients.
