Job summary
Allianz Commercial is seeking an Executive Underwriter for Natural Resources in a hybrid capacity based in San Francisco or other Allianz offices. You will underwrite new and renewal business, manage risk, and collaborate across Risk Consultants, Product Development and Claims to deliver client-focused solutions.
The role requires deep knowledge of NR lines, strong broker relationships, and advanced analytics to support portfolio strategy.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of National Resources underwriting experience.
- Proven ability to build broker and client relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with data from multiple sources.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Able to articulate ideas clearly in writing and speech.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior underwriters.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal business, negotiating terms with brokers.
- Drive marketing initiatives and build strong broker relationships.
- Collaborate with Risk Consultants, Product Development and Claims on client solutions.
- Lead projects that impact results and drive portfolio strategy.
- Mentor and develop team members and serve as a referral point.
