• Bachelor's degree required; extensive underwriting experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of related industry experience, or Excess Casualty coverage equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Mentors, trains and/or supervises less experienced underwriters.
• Conducts analysis and applies appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of risk acceptability.
• Delivers technical guidance as an expert resource providing assistance and training to junior level employees.
• Prepares and participates in proposals to producers and/or accounts negotiating terms and conditions.
• Prepares and participates in marketing activities for business development and relationship building.
