Job summary

Starr, a global leader in commercial insurance, seeks a seasoned underwriter for Management Liability in the Northeast region. You will pursue new business, manage renewals, and meet brokers to ensure service excellence in D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime lines.

You will build broker relationships, underwrite and rate submissions, and collaborate with teams to cross-sell Starr products, while maintaining high accuracy and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of Private/Nonprofit Company D&O underwriting or related insurance experience.
• Detail oriented; Attention to quality/accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and similar applications.

Responsibilities

• Pursue new business and manage a renewal book in the Management Liability portfolio (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime).
• Underwrite, rate, and service submissions; participate in client meetings.
• Develop and maintain agency/broker relationships with retailers and wholesalers in the west region.
• Negotiate within delegated authority to achieve profit objectives.
• Cross-sell Starr products where applicable.
