Job summary

Everest Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Commercial Auto on the Wholesale Casualty team. You will build and manage a profitable E&S Commercial Auto portfolio across the Central Region, with location-flexible and hybrid work arrangements.

The role emphasizes underwriting discipline, broker collaboration, and ability to operate remotely with strong portfolio management. Relevant CPCU/ARM designations are preferred and compensation includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience.
• Strong expertise in Commercial Auto underwriting, preferably in E&S or wholesale.
• Experience underwriting transportation, contractor auto, trucking, or auto-focused casualty risks.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal E&S Commercial Auto business, including fleet and other complex exposures.
• Develop and maintain a profitable book of business within Central Region.
• Build relationships with wholesale broker partners and be a trusted market resource.
• Evaluate risk exposures, pricing, terms, and coverage structures to achieve profitability goals.
• Execute underwriting strategies aligned with regional growth objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive brand awareness for Everest Evolution.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Operations, Product, and Distribution teams.
• Monitor market conditions and broker activity within the territory.
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and referral processes.
