Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Underwriter/Account Manager to produce, underwrite, and manage Fidelity/Crime business across a defined U.S. territory. You will evaluate submissions, set terms, and balance risk with profitability while developing strong agency relationships and driving new business opportunities.

The role requires 5–10+ years in underwriting or related fields, with travel up to 30%. Salary range listed is $90,000–$130,000 with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Insurance, Economics, or related field.
• 5–10+ years underwriting/insurance experience, fidelity/crime preferred.
• Proven profitably managing a book of underwriting business.
• Strong network of agency/brokerage relationships.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills; able to travel up to 30%.
• Organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite moderately to complex risks and determine coverage terms within authority.
• Grow a profitable book of Fidelity/Crime business in assigned territory.
• Develop relationships with agents, insureds, and colleagues to drive new business.
• Execute territory marketing and business development strategies.
• Analyze underwriting data to support recommendations and decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory/compliance adherence.
