Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Vice President within Arch Construction to lead technical underwriting and account management for large construction casualty programs.

The role involves evaluating risks, pricing, coordinating resources, and maintaining strong broker relationships across the region, with travel about 20% per month. A Bachelor's degree and extensive underwriting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Seven plus years of underwriting and/or seven plus years in construction/insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training required; CPCU or similar designation a plus.
• Established broker relationships within the Region would be ideal.
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Technical Underwriting: Solicit, review and evaluate risk information; price and propose quotations; coordinate admin duties.
• Account Management: Manage renewal process, post-bind activities, and client relations; ensure service delivery.
• Sales & Marketing: Build relationships with producers and insureds; travel 20% monthly; develop strategic plans.
• Administrative: Maintain underwriting and policy file documentation; handle ad hoc projects.
