Job summary

The position requires deep knowledge of workers' compensation, general liability, auto coverages, and loss-sensitive program design, with strong communication and leadership skills. Significant travel of about 20% per month is expected.

Qualifications

• Seven plus years of underwriting experience and/or seven plus years experience in the construction industry and/or insurance industry.
• Established broker relationships within the Region would be ideal.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training required; CPCU a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicits and reviews new and renewal account information to evaluate a risk.
• Identifies exposures and hazards related to coverage and risk characteristics.
• Underwrites prices and prepares proposals based on risk characteristics and input from internal teams.
• Coordinates administrative duties related to accounts.
• Renewal and retention management; mid-term account reviews.
