About the Role:

The Senior Underwriter plays a critical role in evaluating and assessing risks associated with insurance applications to ensure profitable and sustainable business growth. This position involves analyzing complex data, financial information, and market trends to make informed decisions on policy approvals and terms. The Senior Underwriter collaborates closely with brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to tailor insurance solutions that meet client needs while adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years or workers compensation auditor experience.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and regulatory environment in the United States.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional underwriting certifications such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or AU (Associate in Underwriting).
