Job summary

Raytheon in Portsmouth, RI is seeking Principal Systems Engineers with expertise in ocean engineering to support naval undersea and surface programs. Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with underwater acoustics analysis, sensor systems, and/or naval system development.
• Experience with system integration and/or test.

Responsibilities

• Perform system performance evaluations and in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for new functionality and system enhancements.
• Contribute to the development of new procedures, processes, and standards to enhance team performance and project outcomes.
• Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing, which may include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), Test Data Review (TDR) packages, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Overcome obstacles by proactively identifying potential roadblocks, negotiating changes to ensure project success, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve conflicts.
• Travel, both domestic and international, to support customer events, with an expected travel requirement not exceeding 25%.
