Job summary

Alta Contracting is seeking an Underground Wet Utilities Foreman to lead our field crew on water, sewer, and storm drainage projects. You will oversee planning, crew directions, and on-site execution with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The role requires extensive experience in wet utilities construction and proven leadership. A valid driver’s license and OSHA-aligned safety practices are essential, with certifications in Construction or Safety a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in underground wet utilities with 5+ years in leadership.
• Knowledge of water, sewer, storm drainage; able to read blueprints.
• Ability to manage multiple projects on time and on budget.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; Construction/Safety certs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to the wet utilities crew, assign tasks, and foster a high-performance environment.
• Manage project lifecycles including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Enforce OSHA standards and safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain quality.
• Manage equipment maintenance, procurement, and daily project documentation.
• Identify bottlenecks and develop solutions to minimize disruptions.
