Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced engineer to design complex underground transmission lines up to 500 kV, lead a design team, and coordinate with vendors and clients. The role emphasizes cost estimating, routing, and specifications development in a hybrid office setting.

Ideal candidates have a BS from an ABET-accredited program, a current PE license, and extensive experience with CYMCAP, XLPE designs, and relevant codes (NESC, EPRI Green Book, IEC, IEEE).

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree from ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Current PE license is required.
• Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling and cable tensioning calculations/software.
• 12+ years leading a design team on complex underground transmission projects.
• Experience with code-based design requirements and industry standards.

Responsabilités

• Design complex underground transmission lines up to 500 kV.
• Lead design team and coordinate with engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Develop cost estimates, criteria, siting, and routing for projects.
• Prepare specifications for installation and procurement of materials.
• Coordinate with vendors/clients on transmission line components.
