Job summary

VCI Construction in Long Beach, CA seeks a Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground with 8+ years of supervisory experience in underground construction. You will manage large crews, liaise with staff, subcontractors, vendors and consultants, and ensure safety and productivity on site.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, submitting SOWs, maintaining reports, and coordinating equipment and time sheets while upholding OSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years supervisory experience required in Aerial & Underground utility construction
• Excellent communication skills required at all levels
• Ability to perform and/or manage multiple tasks, projects and prioritize responsibility
• Good understanding of OSHA requirements
• Osha 30 certification
• Excellent leadership skills
• Proficiency with Word/ Google & Excel programs
• Have a valid C Drivers License
• Must be knowledgeable in Underground Utilities Construction
• Able to read prints and line out crews
• Working outdoors subject to inclement weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Walkout projects and submit SOW totals
• Review and approve all production
• Keep complete and submit job closeout packages
• Be aware of all vehicle and equipment needs and condition, as well as employee performance and needs
• Effectively write reports, internal site audits, and manage employee time sheets
• Review and interpret drawings and specifications
• Performs other duties as assigned
