Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a Senior Underground Mine Engineer to lead technical studies, mine design, scheduling, and economic analyses across underground and open-pit projects.

The role involves QA reviews, governance of Mineral Reserves, and coordination with the Denver corporate office and site teams. You will drive value through optimization, risk assessment, and continuous improvement while traveling domestically and internationally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering; P.E. or equivalent designation preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in mine engineering, planning, operations, or technical studies; open pit and underground experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term and Life of Mine planning, scheduling, and economic evaluation.
• Proficiency in mine planning software; Deswik experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety leadership and integrate safety into mine planning and design decisions.
• Lead independent technical reviews and QA of mine engineering work and Mineral Reserve inputs.
• Support site teams in mine design, planning, scheduling, and optimization across projects.
• Provide technical peer reviews and governance for Mineral Reserve planning and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align mine planning with project development and business objectives.
