Job summary

Mining Americas, Inc. is hiring a Senior Mine Engineer for Copperstone underground gold operations in Arizona. You’ll translate mine plans into practical objectives, mentor junior engineers, and drive planning, development, and cost-control activities.

You will work with Operations, Geology, Survey, Safety, and Maintenance to optimize ore recovery, safety, and efficiency while adhering to MSHA and state requirements. This hands-on role is based on site at Copperstone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field required.
• 5–8+ years of underground mining experience with proven progression in mine engineering.
• Experience developing short-, medium-, and long-range underground mine plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short- and medium-range mine plans, production schedules, forecasts, and development plans.
• Support long-range and life-of-mine planning.
• Prepare underground mine designs, including development layouts and sequencing.
• Provide engineering support for drill and blast design, ventilation, ground control, and mine services.
• Collaborate with Geology and Operations to optimize ore recovery and minimize dilution.
• Monitor production performance against plans and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, capital planning, and cost-control activities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers; ensure MSHA and company safety standards.
