Job summary

First Majestic Silver Corp-Jerritt Canyon Gold is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to support underground mine planning and operational optimization. This role involves partnership with Technical Services, Operations, and Geology teams to deliver efficient mining plans.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in underground mining engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering. Strong safety standards and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of progressive experience in underground mining engineering.
• Experience in conventional underground hard rock mining, preferably in gold operations.
• Strong exposure to mine planning, design, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support underground mine planning activities.
• Partner with Operations and Geology teams for integrated mine plans.
• Provide technical leadership in drill design and underground sequencing.
• Contribute to LOM, long-term, and short-term planning processes.
• Analyze current practices and recommend improvements.
