Mining Americas, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Engineer to join the team at our Copperstone underground gold mine in Arizona. This position provides advanced engineering and technical support to underground operations and plays a key role in mine planning, design, scheduling, production optimization, and continuous improvement.
The Senior Mine Engineer will work closely with Operations, Geology, Survey, Safety, Maintenance, and other technical disciplines to translate mine plans into practical operating objectives and help address both day-to-day and longer-term operational challenges. The position will also serve as a technical resource and mentor to less-experienced engineering personnel.
This is an opportunity for an experienced underground mining engineer to take an active role in both the technical and operational sides of a developing underground gold operation. The position is well suited for an engineer who enjoys being close to operations, solving practical mining challenges, and helping develop other members of the technical team.
This is a hands‑on mine-site position requiring work in both underground and surface environments. The position may involve confined spaces, climbing, varying weather conditions, dust, noise, vibration, temperature extremes, and other conditions typical of an active mining operation. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. All required PPE and site safety requirements must be followed.
