Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Senior Ultrasound Technologist at Monmouth Medical Center in Tinton Falls, NJ. The role focuses on performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, mentoring staff, and supporting department operations to improve patient outcomes.

As a senior technologist, you will lead by example, ensure patient comfort, and contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography required.
• ARDMS certification required.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of diagnostic ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and stock following each exam.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort during examinations.
• Acquire, document, and archive diagnostic images for records.
• Demonstrate advanced competency in image production, analysis, and evaluation.
• Exercise independent judgment while delivering safe, compassionate care.
• Assist with workflow coordination and quality initiatives.
• Support orientation and mentoring of staff as needed.
