Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the MMC Specialty Care Center in Monmouth, NJ. The role focuses on producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient comfort, and adhering to radiation safety standards.

As part of the Radiology-Diagnostic department, you will collaborate with physicians and nurses, maintain equipment, and engage in ongoing professional development to advance patient care and imaging quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license (NJDEP).
• Maintains BLS Heart Saver/Healthcare Provider through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures following established protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Position patients and operate radiologic equipment to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Apply radiation safety principles and comply with regulatory standards.
• Review images for quality and communicate with radiologists and providers.
• Document imaging procedures and exam details in the EMR and imaging systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report any concerns.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and imaging opportunities.
