Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of continuous ultrasound experience within the last six years.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three certifications from ARDMS/ARDMS-listed credentials are expected.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for examination.
• Select equipment and adjust controls for the examination.
• Start equipment and record diagnostic data.
• Move transducer and monitor ultrasound pattern quality.
• Photograph images or print records for permanent records.
• Enter test data into ultrasound computer to maintain records.
• Orient new hires.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
