Job summary

SAIC in Ashburn, VA is seeking a UI/UX Developer to join the Land Border Integration team. This hybrid-remote role requires two on-site days per week to collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain secure border infrastructure.

You will design user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, map workflows, create wireframes and prototypes, ensure accessibility, and deliver high-quality products across browsers and platforms. Collaboration and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of UI/UX experience.
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
Experience with VueJS/Angular/React and cross-browser support.
Proficiency in CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and responsive design.
Strong ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software developers and product teams using participatory design in an agile environment.
Ensure quality, timely delivery and IT Accessibility standards compliance.
Map workflows, wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes across applications.
Design graphics, icons, and visual elements as needed.
Evaluate designs with user-centric reviews and cognitive walkthroughs.
Stay current with design trends and share insights across teams.
Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss requirements and present mockups.
