Job summary

Niyam IT is seeking a UI/UX Developer to join our team in Ashburn, VA, supporting a federal client. You will design intuitive, user-centered experiences for legacy and modern systems while collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings strong creative design skills, technical awareness, and leadership to deliver accessible, scalable solutions aligned with mission objectives. This full-time role is hybrid to Ashburn, VA, with 1–2 days on-site weekly.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience.
• Able to work on-site in Ashburn, VA 1-2 days per week.
• Proficiency with React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Lead consistent look-and-feel across multiple applications.
• Create design solutions aligned with client goals and usability.
• Define and maintain design standards, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Develop and evolve reusable UI components and style guides.
• Evaluate requirements with business teams and ensure technical feasibility.
• Ensure timely delivery and provide guidance to teammates.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices.
