Global Dimensions, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD; Reston, VA; or Washington, DC. This position will support the design and development of a complex ecosystem of big data applications, with a focus on creating intuitive, workflow-driven user experiences in a highly collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and developers to translate complex requirements and operational workflows into cohesive, implementation-ready designs.
Essential Job Functions:
Design intuitive, workflow-driven user experiences for a complex ecosystem of enterprise and big data applications.
Analyze, understand, and document application functionality, business processes, user requirements, and end-to-end workflows.
Translate complex business and technical requirements into cohesive user experiences, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs.
Develop complete, interconnected experiences encompassing both end-user workflows and administrative functionality.
Maintain design consistency from initial concepts through final stakeholder-approved designs.
Produce detailed, implementation-ready designs that clearly communicate intended functionality and minimize the need for developers to make independent UX decisions during implementation.
Progress designs from low-fidelity concepts and wireframes through high-fidelity prototypes and final approved interfaces.
Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, developers, and other technical team members to validate requirements, refine workflows, and ensure designs meet mission and user needs.
Identify usability issues, workflow gaps, and design inconsistencies and recommend effective solutions.
Support iterative design and development activities within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current CI Polygraph is required.
Eighteen (18) years of experience in UI/UX design, UI/UX development, or a highly related field with comparable scope and responsibilities.
Education may be substituted for experience as follows:
A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
A Master’s degree may substitute for six (6) years of experience.
Demonstrated experience documenting user workflows and translating them into wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs.
Experience designing complete, interconnected user experiences encompassing administrative functionality and end-user workflows.
Demonstrated ability to take designs from low-fidelity concepts through high-fidelity, stakeholder-approved deliverables.
Experience designing complex, workflow-driven enterprise applications.
Ability to translate complex business, operational, and technical requirements into intuitive and cohesive user experiences.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across applications, workflows, and design components.
Ability to collaborate effectively with product owners, stakeholders, developers, and other technical professionals.
Proficiency with Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop in NIPR environments.
Desired Skills:
Experience implementing SCSS/SASS and micro-animations to enhance usability and provide meaningful user feedback.
Experience supporting applications in Java Web, Node.js, or AWS environments.
Experience using GitLab for source code management and collaborating within an Agile/Scrum development framework.
Experience with WebSockets or similar technologies supporting real-time or live data updates.
