Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior UI Tech Artist to define and guide UI tech art systems across a game experience. You will create polished, performant UI solutions in Unreal Engine 5 and mentor UI artists while balancing visual fidelity with platform performance.

You will own tooling, templates, and patterns for consistent UI across platforms, collaborating with UX/UI and visual design to push technical polish and efficiency through reviews and reusable patterns.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist, UI Tech Artist, or VFX Artist with UI/front-end game experience.
Proven mentoring experience supporting UI artists and visual designers.
Strong cross-platform planning skills balancing fidelity and performance constraints.
Advanced Unreal Engine 5 skills including Material Editor, Niagara, and Blueprints.

Responsibilities

Define UI tech art systems, templates, thematics, and principles for forward-looking UI.
Craft polished, performant UI tech art solutions using materials, UMG, animation, FX, lighting, Blueprints, and camera tools in UE4/5.
Build consistent visual patterns for motion, FX, UI transitions, scale, and proportion.
Establish a cohesive motion language across screens and states.
Profile runtime performance and diagnose bottlenecks in UI rendering and effects.
