Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior UI Artist to shape the visual identity of immersive experiences in a collaborative studio. You will partner with designers and engineers to craft cohesive visuals across platforms, transforming wireframes into polished UI with Unreal Engine 5.

The role requires a strong portfolio in UI/UX, 3+ years in games or related art, and fluency in English. You will optimize UI for performance and maintain design systems and style guides.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on UI art experience in games or related field.
• Compelling portfolio in UI/UX visuals, texturing, icons.
• Direct Unreal Engine 5 UI experience: UMG, Slate, Material Editor.
• Strong software skills in industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of texture optimization, atlasing, and performance for real-time UI.
• Typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy expertise.
• Experience taking UI concepts to shipped implementations.
• Excellent collaboration and cross-functional communication; English at B2+.

Responsibilities

• Transform UX wireframes into high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, design systems, and style guides using Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Bring artwork to life in Unreal Editor with UMG setup, widget animation, and material creation.
• Craft design systems for menus, HUD, icons, UI materials and shaders, plus UI animation.
• Develop material effects, 2D and animated VFX, and Blueprint logic for UI.
• Fine-tune UI assets for PC, console, and mobile while preserving fidelity, accessibility, and localization.
• Maintain and update UI asset libraries and style guides.
