The Maryland Department of Labor seeks an advanced UI Contributions Tax Auditor III to perform comprehensive payroll and tax audits of employer records ensuring compliance with Unemployment Insurance laws. You will examine financial records, prepare audit reports, interview employers and representatives, and may testify as an expert witness in proceedings.

The role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with audit software such as COMPAS and BEACON,

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent with 30+ credit hours in accounting and auditing.
• Two years of experience as a tax auditor performing work related to Unemployment Insurance Contributions.
• One year of experience with COMPAS Auditing Software.
• One year of experience applying Maryland Unemployment Insurance Laws.
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of BEACON system preferred.
