Job summary

Epsilon is seeking a Sr. UI Designer based in Chicago to lead the CORE UI design system evolution, from tokens and components to production code and QA. You’ll prototype future interactions with AI-assisted workflows and drive motion language across the product while collaborating with engineering and product design. You’ll mentor others and advocate WCAG accessibility.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of experience in UI development, engineering, or related hybrid field.
• A portfolio shows shipped SaaS or digital product work.
• Deep experience evolving a design system across Figma and code.

Responsibilities

• Own the ongoing evolution of Epsilon's CORE UI design system across tokens, components, and interactions in Figma and production code.
• Build future-facing prototypes exploring new interaction patterns and product directions before writing production code.
• Iterate on components using AI-assisted workflows to shorten build-to-code cycles with quality and consistency.
• Define and champion a motion language including easing curves, transitions, and micro-interactions.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to align design intent with production implementations and write production CSS/components when needed.
• Contribute to design system documentation, usage guidance, and adoption for cross-team consistency.
• Stay at the forefront of AI-native design practices to accelerate exploration and quality at scale.
• Collaborate with Product Designers on complex flows, edge cases, loading moments, and accessibility.
• Mentor the design organization to raise quality and practice.
