Job summary

Quest Analytics seeks a contract UI Design System Specialist to advance a token-based component library into a standardized, developer-ready system. You will craft reusable UI components, document usage, and map design tokens to code, enabling consistent product design and engineering across teams.

You will collaborate with design and engineering, extend Storybook-based docs, and set up workflows to accelerate code generation with AI-assisted tools like Claude Code.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of UI, product, or related design experience.
• Hands-on experience building and owning a design system component library.
• Portfolio demonstrating UI and design system work.

Responsibilities

• Design/core UI components on top of token/type foundations.
• Ensure components work across the six-workspace shell pattern.
• Define consistent variants and responsive behavior.
• Build component-level documentation and usage guidelines.
• Document how design tokens map to code implementations.
• Set up or extend a documentation platform (Storybook).
• Configure Claude Code to connect the design system to the codebase.
• Create workflows to generate design-system-compliant code faster.
