Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) / Robotics Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead systems engineering for robotic platforms. You will shape architecture, drive requirements, and mentor teams across multiple projects.

The role requires a DoD background, strong communication with government and industry partners, and a passion for advancing autonomous ground systems. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in defense systems engineering, with unmanned/robotic experience.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with systems engineering across full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering throughout planning, development, integration and deployment of UGV programs.
• Support requirements analysis, architecture development, interface definitions and trade studies.
• Evaluate mobility, power, communications, sensing, autonomy, payload, and subsystems integration.
