Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks an experienced Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) / Robotics Engineering SME to provide technical leadership in defense robotics programs. You will support system architecture, requirements, technology assessments, and integration planning for autonomous ground systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 10+ years in defense systems engineering, and a Secret clearance. Strong communication skills and experience with MBSE and complex hardware/software integration are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems/Mechanical/Electrical/Robotics/Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years on defense systems engineering programs, including unmanned/robotic systems.
• Secret Clearance required; #qinetiqclearedjob.
• Knowledge of systems engineering across full lifecycle.
• Experience integrating complex hardware and software systems.
• Experience with requirements management, interface management, technical reviews, and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate with government and contractor stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering throughout planning, development, integration, testing, deployment of UGV programs.
• Support requirements analysis, architecture development, interface definition, and trade studies.
• Evaluate integration of mobility, power, communications, sensing, navigation, autonomy, payload, and subsystems.
• Develop and review system requirements, ICDs, specifications, analyses, and documentation.
• Support verification/validation, developmental testing, and test planning.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies across the lifecycle.
• Participate in reviews, working groups, and customer briefings.
• Support configuration management and requirements traceability.
