Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) / Robotics Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership and systems engineering expertise in support QinetiQ robotics programs. The SME will support the development, integration, testing, fielding of robotic systems and unmanned ground systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Computer, Aerospace or related field.
• 10+ years in defense systems engineering with unmanned/robotic experience.
• Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with requirements management, interface management, reviews, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate with government and contractor stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering expertise across planning, development, integration, testing and deployment of UGV programs.
• Support requirements analysis, architecture development, interface definition and trade studies.
• Evaluate integration of mobility, power, communications, sensing, autonomy, payload and subsystems.
• Develop and review system requirements, ICDs, specifications, analyses, and documentation.
• Support integration activities, V&V, developmental testing and OT planning.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation throughout the program life-cycle.
• Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, working groups and customer briefings.
• Support configuration management and requirements traceability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, labs, contractors and partners.
• Assess emerging technologies to improve capability, reliability and lifecycle support.
• Prepare technical reports, white papers, and proposals.
• Mentor engineers across multiple projects.
