Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) / Robotics Systems Engineering SME to provide technical leadership across robotics programs. You will influence system architecture, requirements, and technical evaluations for autonomous and remotely operated ground systems.

The role requires deep systems engineering expertise, ability to mentor engineers, and collaboration with government and industry partners to enable reliable, maintainable fielded solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years in defense systems engineering with unmanned/robotic systems.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Experience with requirements and interface management, reviews, and docs.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with government and contractor stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering across planning, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Support requirements analysis and architecture development.
  • Evaluate mobility, power, comms, sensing, autonomy, payload subsystems.
  • Develop and review ICDs, specs, analyses, and technical docs.
  • Support V&V, developmental testing, and OT planning.
  • Mentor engineers and provide guidance across projects.
