Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Eng or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in telecommunications engineering, unified communications, or voice network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with UC/telephony platforms (dial plans, routing, voicemail, conferencing).
• Experience monitoring UC performance metrics and using monitoring tools.
• Experience in secure federal or regulated environments and ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
• Strong communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder briefs.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain UC/telephony solutions across on-premise and cloud.
• Monitor UC networks, analyze KPIs, identify bottlenecks and service degradation.
• Troubleshoot complex UC incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop runbooks and configuration baselines for UC platforms and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network, security, infra, and service desk teams to plan changes.
• Produce capacity analyses and recommendations for improvements.
• Provide training and guidance on UC capabilities to customers and teams.
• Support compliance with federal security, privacy, and records requirements.
