Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Test Equipment Engineer to design, develop, and implement cost-effective test methods for unmanned aircraft systems and payloads.

You will support integration and testing across product development and manufacturing, driving test plans and analyses with cross-functional teams. The role requires strong experience in automated testing, C# development, and clever problem solving to improve testability and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Software Engineering required or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of experience in development test solutions used in a manufacturing production environment and experience with NI TestStand and LabVIEW or certified.
• Experience writing Test Plans based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
• Experience writing bug reports and root-cause analyses.
• Ability to generate cost and lead time estimates based on different life cycle stages.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, deploys, troubleshoots and upgrades test equipment for testing PCBAs, sub-systems, and systems.
• Develops test plans, requirements/specifications and strategies.
• Analyzes, processes, and formats test results.
• Independently drives for results and meets deliverables on projects with tight timelines.
• Coordinates activities of other team members as Team Lead.
