Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff/Sr. Principal Pilot Unmanned Aerial Vehicle to join our Beale AFB team. The role includes formal training, SME responsibilities for training, and coordination with maintenance and engineering to resolve issues.

Requires 8+ years aviation or 6+ with a Master’s or 4+ with a PhD, and 500+ PIC hours. On-site only, with up to 25% travel and Top Secret clearance mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with aviation experience or higher; seniority depends on hours
• Military formal training unit or Squadron level instructor
• Experience with crew/cockpit resource management (CRM)
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Active USG Top Secret clearance with potential for TS/SCI

Responsibilities

• Deliver formal training unit instruction in lab and classroom environments
• Serve as SME on training, airmanship, aircraft systems & performance and develop training guides
• Conduct briefing/debriefing and coordinate with maintenance/engineering to correct discrepancies
• Work full-time, on-site at Beale AFB; travel up to 25%
