Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 6+ years of mechanical design experience on weight/size sensitive assemblies.
• Strong ownership of complex assemblies and system specs.
• Proven innovation and development of complex mechanical systems.
• Solidworks expertise for 3D modeling, drawings, and simulations.

Responsibilities

• Own system and subsystem designs for lightweight structures.
• Manage large assemblies in CAD and PLM, ensure BOM/ drawings.
• Optimize for aerodynamic profiles and efficiency.
• Use FEA, experiments, and rapid prototyping to validate designs.
• Develop tests to validate performance across environments.
• Apply DFM/ DFA methods to designs.
• Communicate with team leaders and management; drive tasks.
• Own subsystems, manage requirements and timelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers during development and production.
• Work with production to train, review MTRs, and troubleshoot.
• Create and control design data from concept to sustainment; support ECPs.
