Job summary

AV is seeking a Sr. Manager of the Depot Repair & Sustaining Operations to build and scale an enterprise-wide MRO for Class III UAVs. You will lead depot-level maintenance, sustainment interfaces, and global support for defense customers, including ITAR compliance and regulatory oversight.

The role requires deep aerospace/defense maintenance experience, strong leadership, and ability to drive Lean/Six Sigma improvements across a regulated global operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Operations Management, Logistics or Supply Chain or equivalent.
• 10+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience; 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and supply chain principles.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the depot repair and sustaining operations organization for Class III UAVs.
• Oversee domestic and international MRO depots, governance, and performance management.
• Implement KPIs for OTD, MTTR, readiness, and cost per repair; lead lean initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR, military standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Contracts.
