Job summary

AV is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to design and operate manufacturing systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. You will select technologies, plan factories, and lead maintenance and continuous improvement of processes, focusing on automated systems and new tech development.

Responsibilities include developing equipment specs, applying lean principles, modeling capacity, and ensuring conforming parts through suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 8–12 years in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Test Engineering or similar in Aerospace/Automotive/Commercial industries.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience required.
• Experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing, drawings, procedures and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage equipment specifications and documentation for development, qualification and support of assembly and test equipment.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to improve productivity, quality, and lead time.
• Generate Value Stream Maps to reduce cycle time, waste, and rework.
• Develop manufacturing strategies and capacity models for products.
