Job summary

AV seeks a Lead Airworthiness & Safety Engineer to drive airworthiness and product safety for complex UAS across the lifecycle. You will shape certification strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and engage with customers and regulators on audits, RFIs, and RFPs.

The role requires a strong systems engineering background, extensive airworthiness experience, and the ability to lead with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with domestic and international customers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 8+ years of directly related experience.
• At least 4 years of airworthiness related work.

Responsibilities

• Develops airworthiness and product safety planning for complex UAS.
• Supports product requirements development from market and regulatory needs.
• Creates plans, basis of certifications, means of compliance, and certification activities.
