Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking an Integration Engineer in Huntsville, AL to drive end-to-end payload integration on Group 2/3 UAS. You will work across electrical and mechanical systems, validate hardware/software interfaces, and ensure readiness for fielding.

Responsibilities include developing test procedures, conducting ground and flight tests, and coordinating with customers and partners to resolve integration challenges. A strong background in aerospace systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of payload or systems integration in aerospace/defense.
• Experience integrating payloads and avionics on UAS/defense platforms.
• Strong electrical/mechanical system integration knowledge.
• Experience testing and validating payload performance.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end payload integration including airborne and ground control components.
• Integrate avionics, mission payloads, flight controllers, radios, embedded subsystems.
• Develop test procedures and conduct ground and flight tests.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams to design and develop integrated solutions.
• Troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues in lab and field.
• Translate requirements into technical specs, test plans, and implementations.
• Analyze test data and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to support demonstrations.
• Maintain integration documentation and certification materials.
• Ensure EMI/EMC and weight/balance compliance for aircraft.
