Job summary

Precise Systems Inc. seeks a Senior UAS Electronics Technician to support the NSWC Crane Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare Division. You will maintain, build, configure, test, troubleshoot, repair, and manage small UAS assets and related equipment. Travel to test events and field activities is required.

This role demands hands-on technical work, inventory accountability, and coordination with engineers, test personnel, logisticians, and government stakeholders to meet mission schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, vocational/technical certificate, or equivalent military training in electronics, aviation, or unmanned systems.
• Ten or more years of relevant electronics, aviation, unmanned systems, or military technical experience.
• Hands-on experience building, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing small UAS platforms and related electronics.
• Experience using electronic test equipment, hand tools, diagnostic tools, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and procedures.
• Experience managing equipment inventories, parts accountability, material requirements, assembly/kitting, and schedules.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely for UAS movement and handling.
• Ability to diagnose problems independently and document maintenance actions.
• Current Group 1 and Group 2 UAV license/certification and flight qualifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for multi-priority environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accountability of MXQW UAS assets, components, tools, batteries, and supplies.
• Build, assemble, configure, function check, troubleshoot, repair, and return UASs to operation.
• Perform hands-on diagnostics of UAS electrical, RF, power, control, and mechanical subsystems.
• Prepare UAS systems and equipment for testing, fielding, and events.
• Develop buy lists for parts, consumables, and test equipment to sustain assets.
• Track parts usage, status, readiness, and material requirements to minimize delays.
• Coordinate priorities and timelines to support test events and surge needs.
• Conduct pre/post-operation inspections and document maintenance actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, logisticians, and government stakeholders to resolve issues.
