Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Sr. Officer, U.S. Philanthropy to cultivate deep donor relationships and expand the U.S. donor footprint.

The role focuses on major gifts, regional networking, and personalized stewardship, with remote work based in the San Francisco area and reporting to the Director, U.S. Philanthropy. The position requires 5+ years in fundraising or high‑value sales, with a proven ability to secure $1M+ annually from major donors and foundations; Salesforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of fundraising experience or equivalent sales experience.
• Proven track record of securing $1M+ annually from major donors and foundations, including principal-level gifts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage high-potential donors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate strategies to broaden and deepen support from major donors in the U.S. region.
• Leverage Salesforce to maintain donor records and track engagement; update projections and giving history.
• Manage a portfolio of ~150 major donors and foundations; cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to increase funding.
• Plan and host regional donor events and experiences; collaborate with HQ events team.
• Coordinate with senior leadership and marketing for donor communications and outreach.
• Facilitate donor visits, trips and virtual experiences to deepen engagement.
